Website Sales Letters – What Difference Do They Make

Professionally crafted letters are a fantastic way to drive loads and loads of sales to any website you own.
With a professionally written letter your sales can literally go through the roof and can ultimately mean the difference between a failed campaign and a campaign that works, and makes you money.
A sales letter copywriter is therefore probably one of the most sensible business decisions you could ever afford to make.
You could begin by trying to write your own sales page. What I’d suggest you do is find some free templates online somewhere and adapt them to your own website. Then drive somewhere between 500 and 1000 unique natural visitors to the site, either through the search engines, or a PPC campaign.
Then see how many sales you got for the traffic. If you got 2 sales from 1000 visitors, simply divide 2 by 1000(0.002), and multiply the result by 100 to get your conversion ratio of 0.2%
Now if your profit was $40 per sale you would have made $80 profit, unless that is of course, you have paid for the traffic.
A good sales page should be able to get somewhere between 1% and 2% on an average conversion so if you are not hitting at least 1% you need to try and improve your sales letter.
In the above example, with a 1% conversion this would have meant 10 sales and $400 of profit as opposed to $80. When you look at it like that, can you not afford to have a good sales letter written for you? Even if, in this example you had paid $500 for that sales letter to be written?
Your page only needs to have been written once and you can profit from it for months and months to come, so in my opinion a well written letter is one of the best investments you can have in your business. Would you pay someone $500 if that sales page brings you $400 a month?
After 2 years that web page could bring you more than $9600, so now ask yourself what difference it makes if your sales letter is set up properly.
Remember, when I said that website sales letters are the key difference between success and failure, I meant it!
So if you are prepared to invest in your business, its vital that you invest in it by getting good website sales letters written either by yourself or by someone who writes them professionally, i.e. day in, day out, 5 days a week! This could be the best decision you ever make..
