Are you starting to find that writing articles can be a bit dull? Are you having to find ways of enthusing yourself to write another article on inverse vacuum popcorn dispensing units for left handed ducks? If you have reached the stage where writing articles becomes a dull daily chore that can only be lightened a little by promising a treat afterwards like doing the washing up or cleaning the bathroom, then you have a problem.
No, actually you have two problems. Firstly, you face the prospect of giving up, or becoming less creative and less able to write articles likely to be effective. Secondly, if you’re starting to get bored by your articles, how on earth do you think your readers will feel? On second thoughts you probably don’t have to worry too much about that second point, because you won’t have any.
Many of the more successful article marketers solve both problems by injecting a little humour into their articles. It doesn’t take a great deal, and there’s no need to be a stand up comedian. People aren’t look for a barrel load of guffaws every third sentence. But a little humour and light-heartedness not only makes the whole thing easier to read and more enjoyable to read, but stands a better chance of getting the message across more effectively.
Too many article marketers take the whole business of writing articles very seriously. They don’t feel you should be flippant when trying to promote your online business. Being funny isn’t becoming, and doesn’t help boost your very serious business image. Rubbish. If you care that much about having a serious image then you shouldn’t really be trying to sell pink vibrating buck toothed rabbits for ladies who need a little stress relief at the weekend.
In fact, far from damaging your reputation by incorporating a little humour into your articles you are more likely to come across as real and genuine, thereby boosting your trustworthiness and reputation. You’ll be surprised just how far a little humour in your articles will take you. At least as far as the other side of the road.
