Duplicate File Detective v3.0 is Released

Key Metric Software has released Duplicate File Detective v3.0, a major upgrade to our professional-grade duplicate file management software.

Duplicate File Detective v3.0 provides a number of new features that focus on extending the scalability and reach of the product. New features include full Unicode support, new duplicate file processing options such as the ability to replace moved or deleted duplicates with shell shortcuts, duplicate search logging, support for Windows 7 and Server 2008, and scalability improvements that allow the product to report upon (and process) millions of duplicate file entries in a single session.

Duplicate File Detective v3.0 also enhances many existing features. Improvements include new SmartMark duplicate file selection capabilities, a revised duplicate file checksum calculator that supports multiple paths and hash types in a single pass, extended support for importing and exporting even the largest of duplicate search result sets in XML format, expanded report pruning support, and duplicate result report filtering improvements.

Duplicate File Detective v3.0 provides an entirely new user interface experience through the inclusion of an MS Office 2007 style Ribbon bar. This design was chosen for its unique ability to expose key features and functions to end users while maximizing usable space within the duplicate search results view area.
