How To Write An Article – Article Writing Tips

How to write Articles, well sometimes the hardest part is just to start writing, but here are some tips and an easy structure to follow when writing your article that should help you get started.
Firstly, think about your target audience, who are you aiming your article at? Once you have defined your target audience you can keep this in mind throughout your article writing to make sure you stay on track.
Things to think about when choosing the audience you are aiming your article at are subjects such as:
1. The Job the person who is reading your article does
2. Do they have family
3. What values do they hold
4. What types of activities do they enjoy
5. Do they work hard and play hard
All of these things will help you to decide how to talk to your reader and what language to use.
Secondly, just because you have posted an article on to the Internet, it doesn’t mean it will get seen, so you need to think of the keywords you are going to use within your article. There are various different keyword finding tools you can use please see one below.
Key word tools:
Word tracker do a free keyword tool
Google do also offer a free keyword tool which is easily found by searching- Google keyword tool external.
Use the keyword tool to find keywords which get searched but don’t have too much competition. If the competition is too high, your article will not get listed because there is too many sites with the same content or keywords.
The next step is to choose your topic, you can write about anything, things you love, things you feel strongly about or things you think other people will find interesting. An easy formula for this could be to think about something you have learned about recently.
What were your questions or concerns? Think of the things you wanted to be told about when you were learning a new skill or subject then answer those questions within your article. This way the reader will feel as though you are talking to them directly.
This is a great way of getting an emotional response from your reader. State the things you were worried about if the reader feels as though you were having the same problems as they are now, they are more likely to read on.
Every article that you write should have its own angle. There are a number of angles you can choose from and you should be able to use the same keywords and topic to write different articles using a different angle. The Angles you could choose from are shown below.
A how-to article
A review article
A problem, then solution article (define a problem, provide the solution)
A personal experience article
A comparison article
Now for the exciting part, you have done the prep, now is the time to show your knowledge on your chosen subject.
Start writing!
This may sound scary but there is a straight forward formula that you can follow to make it easier to stay on track.
Step one.
1. Decide on 3 main points you would like to make and write them down. These will be the first part of your 3 main paragraphs
2. Write around 5 sentences to support each on of your points, these will make up the body of the paragraph.
3. Write your introduction. To do this you should simply write down what you are about to tell your reader.
4. Write your closing sentence explain briefly what you have just told your reader.
5. Write your article title, it is a good idea to add your keywords into your title and where possible use a question as this will create interest.
If you are wanting your reader to go to your website or find out any further information you should add this in the resource box at the bottom of the article. Do not try to sell to your reader all of the way through as this will put people off. It is a good idea to write the text you would like to add to your resource box so that you have it ready when loading your advert onto the different article websites. To see some sites you could add your article to please see below:

Writing an article doesn’t have to be hard, follow this easy structure and just start writing as long as you keep your topic in mind and your audience you should be fine.
