The Compound Effect Of Article Marketing

Article marketing is the process of writing articles, putting a link in the resource box to your website and submitting them to article directories. The articles you write must have valuable content and they must answer the questions of the reader based on the topic of the article. However, article marketing is really more than just a traffic method. There’s a compound effect to article marketing, and that’s exactly what I’m going to talk about in this article.
When you write an article, you do get the benefit of receiving traffic to your website, but there’s so much more to article marketing than that. First, you are creating original content, and original content is powerful today. The search engines love original content and give preference to original content. In fact, Google has put a ‘slap’ on websites that promote duplicate content, so that’s good for you.
The next compound effect is that your article has your name on the article. This might not seem like a big deal, but as your name circulates and goes viral through the web, your name starts to get more attention with the search engines. When the search engines recognize your name more often, and the information you give is credible, you’ll get more love with the search engines.
Furthermore, when your name goes viral and people start finding your work everywhere, guess what happens. You gain credibility in your industry and you are seen as an expert. Think about it. If you see the same name in 50 different places all over the web when it comes to a particular industry, won’t you think that this person is the industry leader for that niche? Or at least a power player? You’d better believe it.
Then as more people see your name everywhere, their curiosity will take over and they will look to find out more information about you. What does that mean? It means they will visit your website and more than likely become a subscriber to your list. Plus, when they do subscribe to your list, you will already be perceived as an expert and an authority figure, so they will be more likely to like you and trust you which ultimately results in more sales for you down the road.
Now this type of compound effect doesn’t happen overnight. But when it does, it has magical effects. Bottom line is you’ll never reach the compound effect of article marketing with only a few hundred articles. I’m talking about having a few thousand articles and so on.
So as you can see, writing articles is great for driving traffic but the bigger picture or article marketing is so much more than that. If you’ve ever read the book ‘The Compound Effect’ by Darren Hardy, you’ll understand exactly how powerful the compound effect really is.
