Article Writing – 7 Steps To Do It Right

More and more people are now reaping great success in using articles in their internet marketing campaign. Their secret? They care to produce articles that are not only useful and informative, but of high quality as well. If you want to follow their footsteps, you better do what they’re doing. Here are the steps that you need to follow:
Identify your target audience. Always start the whole process by identifying the people that you’re writing for so you’ll know what exactly you can do to impress them. Who are these people? What are their specific needs and demands? What’s the language that they’re using? Why would they want to read your articles? What kind of information will they find useful?
Explore interesting topics. Make your articles more interesting by talking about topics that are extremely interesting to your target audience. These people will surely pay attention if you talk about their hobbies and other areas of interest, their pressing issues, and their goals in life. Promise to offer them with in-depth information and solutions on your title so they’ll be enticed to open and read your articles.
Do your research. Avoid writing your articles based on your stocked knowledge alone. To make them sound more informative and to make them balanced, it would help if you get all the angles by doing research. Read relevant articles that were written by other experts in your niche and gather as much information as possible.
Plan your content. After gathering enough information, the next step to take is to plan on how you’ll present them on your articles. It’s best if you talk about the most important information on top. This is to easily hook your readers as soon as possible so you can improve your chances of getting them to read your articles until the end.
Use friendly, conversational tone. Do not alienate your readers by using highly technical terms and complicated paragraphs. Put them at ease by writing as if you’re talking to them personally. Address them using first person pronouns and be upbeat all the time (depends on your chosen topic). Tell stories whenever needed and insert jokes to entertain your readers.
Keep it short. Online users do not have patience in reading lengthy articles. So, do them and yourself a favor by making your articles relatively short (around 400-600 words). Limit the ideas that you’re going to discuss early on and discuss them without using fillers and fluff.
Stick with the truth. Other internet marketers are exaggerating when delivering information to their readers just to capture their attention. Well, you don’t want to do that if you don’t want to lose the trust of your target audience. Always stick with facts so you can avoid misleading your readers and so you can easily earn their trust and respect.
