The Garmin DC 50 is the latest tracking and scruff of the neck released by Garmin. Similar with the DC 40, it is compatible with Astro-320 tracking system although vaults ahead in its working by having features like training functions, bark-detections, improved satellite coverage, are more durable antenna and battery management.
Independent of the bark detection, the DC 50 has also been enhanced by adding the GLONASS-system of satellites to GPS satellites that happen to be commonly used. That is believed to offer users with extra 21 earth-orbiting satellites for DC50 which improves locating and tracking of dogs even just in deep canyons or under heavy tree cover. Much more, the Garmin DC 50 comes with tougher VHF antennas that are made from Braided Steel which provide more durability and other range as compared to the ordinary one.
