You are only as secure as your password is. Whether you are registering on a forum or doing online banking, you’ve got to have a password . For low-risk applications, you can probably get away with using your pet’s name or something similar, but you really know you should not. But when it comes to serious stuff, you know you will need something good.
It is quite hard to think up a really nice password. They should be long enough, contain some different types of characters (lower- and upper case, numbers, special symbols), not include any dictionary words, adjacent characters, etc. Unfortunately it is not easy to be that inventive on our own, and you know that “Pluto” or “Molly” may be the best what you can get.
PassworG is a free tool that can help you with this. You can specify the allowed characters to use, the password length and the number of passwords you need, and let the program generate them for you. It also checks the strength of the passwords you have created, so you can use the worst ones you have. And remember, save them somewhere, because these are the superb passwords, you are not going to be able to hack you way in if you forget them.
PassworG supports Windows 2000 through Windows 7.
