Hey now, hey now, let’s be perfectly honest here, in this day and age of information flow online, if your customers can’t find you on the Internet, as far as they’re concerned you are not real. That is to say you don’t exist. In my own community I can tell you there are businesses, mom and pop small businesses with 40 years in our community, but the new up-and-coming generation, all those high personal tech millennials do a lot of their shopping, and browsing online before they purchase.
These millennials do not have customer loyalty to those mom-and-pop companies that support the high school baseball teams and the Boy Scouts, unless of course you sponsored their team while they were in school, or donated money to their group. It really doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in business you need online presence. Consider the power of presence online, on the Internet, and figure out a strategy that won’t cost too much, one that gives your customers the benefit of knowing who you are, what you are about, and your established reputation.
Indeed, you might also consider setting up a blog, adding some informational articles, and promoting your business on the social networks. If you do not have a lot of expertise in online marketing or writing online articles, you are not alone, as a matter of fact many small businesses don’t even have websites, they have long standing relationships with the local community, and they don’t see the need for it. However, they are missing the ballgame with their next generation of customers.
Referrals, word-of-mouth, yes all that is very important, but you can accelerate that online. In a way that’s what social networking is all about especially when it comes to small businesses on the Internet. Now, if you are an excellent business person, then chances are you are not a writer, because you are an entrepreneur; you are a doer. Most doers are not wordsmiths, they don’t claim to be, they may even have atrocious spelling and poor sentence structure. But I guarantee you they know how to count back to change after someone makes a purchase.
Different strokes, for different folks I suppose. And if you found this article online by searching on the Internet, perhaps typing a question into Google, and I’d like to answer the question for you; “I need an online article writer for my small business, where can I find one?” You’d be surprised how many people are online that offer Internet content writing services, and there is quite a bit of competition, which is good for your bottom line as a small business per person – because it drives the price down, and it makes it very affordable and well within your current cash flow. I hope you will please consider all this.
