End of September, summer is nearly over and Italy is even more charming. No more hot days, no more overcrowded cities. Autumn is approaching with its mild weather and romantic colors, but winter is still far away. Even if the high season is at the end, the Scuola Leonardo Da Vinci offer for Italian language courses is wide and competitive as ever.
Standard, intensive group, intensive plus courses start every week with only one exception. For absolute beginners starting dates are scheduled every two weeks. But choosing the right course is not always easy, so please accept a few hints.
The Standard Group Course (3 hours a day five days a week) is the more flexible and can be the right answer to different type of needs. Not to mention that it is the cheapest and it’s easy to add extra weeks. It’s certainly the best choice if you are an absolute beginner and you have at least a month to study Italian in a full immersion situation. It’s also a perfect solution for a student whose language abilities, speaking, reading, listening and writing, are more or less at the same level.
On the contrary, if you know grammar well and you can even read Italian but you need to train your speaking and listening skill, the Intensive Group Course (Standard Course plus two lessons everyday in a conversation group) is definitely the best choice.
As for the plus five or ten (Standard Course plus 1 or 2 private lessons every day), it is a more sophisticated tool and it is certainly the more effective if you have only a few weeks. It can allow you to learn Italian at a faster pace than the Scuola Leonardo da Vinci syllabus (one level from A1 to C1 every four/six weeks) or fill whatever gap you have in your language skills with the private teacher, while you enjoy the full immersion situation of a group class.
Anyway, if you really don’t like studying in groups or you have only one week and you want to make a big step ahead, you can always book our individual tuition (starting every week even for beginners): three lessons a day, five times a week one to one with a qualified Italian language teacher.
Last but not least, if you live in Italy and you would like to improve your Italian but you don’t have enough spare time for a full immersion course, the Part Time is the right choice. Starting every two weeks for all levels, beginners, elementary, intermediate and advanced, is less demanding but still effective. Lasting 8 weeks on a extensive basis (twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays), it is thought to allow you to learn in class what you need in your everyday.
All the Italian language courses are offered by all the school locations: Rome, Milan, Florence and Siena.
