There are some very common mistakes that “authors” make when writing articles to promote their websites. These mistakes determine how successful your article will be when they are submitted to an article directory.
The most common mistake that people make is that they do not read their article after writing it. It’s imperative to re-read your article to check for spelling and grammatical errors. A lot of people believe that human beings aren’t really going to even read their gibberish so why bother double checking for errors. The point to their article writing is to get their link into the resource box so the Google bots can pick up on it.
Contrary to what you may believe but people, as in human beings, actually do read articles. A lot of them are searching out subjects for their particular niche which you could have very well written about. Not everyone is writing articles strictly for backlinks. If your article is about something they are promoting and it’s actually quite good, they may take your article and post it on their website with your credits intact. What do I mean? Well, if they take your article, they also have to publish your resource box which means your information on what you are promoting is also there. These are called pingbacks and this is one more way to get your links out into cyber space for Google to pick up on and rank you higher in the search engines.
You could have a great article topic with some fabulous and useable content that could help out a lot of people that may have had questions about the very thing you’re talking about. But, if the article is full of errors and misspellings, a lot of people will simply click off and find another article that sounds and looks more professional. If they’re looking for an article to put on their website, they are doing so because they don’t want to have to write it themselves so when they see mistakes and grammatical errors, no matter how good the content, that means work for them which is the very thing they were trying to avoid.
So, re-read everything you write at least once through and double check your spelling and your writing phrases to make sure it all makes sense. It doesn’t take that long and you’ll be glad you did when people pick your article up and use it on their sites.
