Milan, April 2017 – Presented for the very first time on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile 2017, the new Miuccia collection by the Interior Designer Elisabetta de Strobel takes us on a unique journey through simply sophisticated furnishing solutions that take shape in a combination of 1940s style and Nordic design. The rigorous elegance of the colour range features subtle shades of grey and blue, complemented by more
assertive green and petrol, as well as all the natural beauty and nuances of wood.
Behind this striking collection lies careful study aimed at staying one step ahead of international markets and trends in design and decoration to create timeless pieces. The hallmark of the collection are the splendidly pure lines that shape the finest of materials such as glass, metal and wood, and the slender elegance of the leg. The surfaces of the doors are either plain or decorated with a very subtle tone-on-tone geometric chiaroscuro effect. The furnishings in the collection offer a number of highly original solutions, such as the sideboard with the drinks trolley inside. The Miuccia collection explores every room in the house, from the dining and living areas to the bedrooms.
Attention is focused on the details that really make the difference, with a pure, clean-cut design able to ensure the lasting, timeless appeal and versatility of pieces designed in exquisite shapes and featuring sophisticated raw materials.
“Beauty blends seamlessly with function in this collection”, explains Elisabetta de Strobel. “Extreme comfort, trend-inspired shades and bespoke furnishings come together to give rise to the concept of Human Design, which aspires to create a setting in which design and humans can feel at one with each other”.
For Brunello, Elisabetta de Strobel has not only designed the Miuccia collection this year; she has also taken care of the exhibition concept of the stand, with an exclusive, bespoke approach. “An enchanting journey through a fairy-tale realm” is how the Interior Designer herself describes it. After thirty years of collaboration with the Salone del Mobile, de Strobel’s experience has once again this year led to numerous exhibition concepts studied to perfection to create just the right mood and style not only for furnishings, but also for fabrics and decorative elements.
