Informing Family Members To A Burglary

My workplace phone buzzed. I was planning to go pick up Cheryl at that moment. After doing work all day, I was really looking forward to enjoying the night along with my wife, taking it easy. The very last thing I would like was to be held back by a phone call coming from a client.

This was actually Cheryl. Our house had been burglarized. Without my being aware of it, my mobile phone had quit on me, and she knew it the minute she was the one that received the call. The authorities were already around. My do it yourself home security system had notified her. I went towards the vehicle.

That is a wireless security system that I had installed barely a month in advance of that moment.

Supposing that the system’s detectors notice a door or window being forced open, or a trespasser’s movement, an alarm gets triggered and sends a signal towards a base unit. This then gets in touch with one of as much as five stored numbers.

The first provided number is my cell phone number. When the unit contacts, that plays a prerecorded alert message, and I can hear just what is occurring inside our home or shout at a trespasser through the base device. Or I could disarm the unit. If I neither answer my phone nor disarm the unit, that dials Cheryl’s number, the second listed.

Our HomeSafe wireless house security system consists of a base device with an AC adaptor, a motion sensor having an eight-yard range, as well as a remote control with panic feature for arming and disarming the unit. There’s also one window or door sensing unit with cordless transmission as much as 250 feet.

Every user of the system can obtain a remote control. The unit needs a landline having tone dialing, and does not work on all digital lines, yet works on all analog lines.

Cheryl had called 911 immediately. The authorities stated the alarm must have intimidated the intruders off right before they could take anything at all. Cheryl and I could ultimately spend the rest of the night relaxing. Not bad for a do it yourself home security system.
