Now Available: Income Property Book 2.0

Originally released in 2008, Income Property Book has been helping property managers organize their rental property data and financial records for five years. Most recently the developers of IPB released version 2.0, which completely revamps the user interface, modernizing it and adding flexibility and power. Using Microsofts Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) framework, the developers have introduced an entirely new approach to setting up the work environment by adding docked panels that can be opened, closed and moved at will.

Also new in version 2.0 is a fully integrated calendar for day planning and appointments, as well as an easy-to-use To Do list for those things you need to remember but cannot be specifically planned. Version 2.0 adds a number of new reports and the ability to create photo galleries for each of your properties. They have updated the functions that help you store and lookup your support contacts. You can now quickly see all of you contacts or select out only a certain type, like plumbers or painting companies. Everything is immediately available to you with the click of a mouse.

During the transformation from the original version to IPB 2.0 great care was taken not to lose any of the program’s solid functionality. IPB can still track an unlimited number of properties and tenants and all of the histories of tenant occupation, inlcuding details about the contracts made with each tenant. If a tenant moves from one of your rentals to another, there is not need to re-enter the tenant information. You simply create a new contract under the new address. Contracts can be made for month-to-month or lease. There is even a special contract page for short term tenancy for cabins, lodges or even camp sites. The program also gives you a method of planning work projects on you properties, and keeps those plans to give you a history of what work has been done.
