We insure our houses against financial loss. Our cars are insured by us. We assure our buy Lifelock, RV’s, planes, and so forth. We do this at some considerable expense. Why? Because we understand such loss would have serious consequences for all of us and the possibility of loss is significant we get it done.
In some cases, we would owe a tremendous debt to the mortgage company, and their collateral (our house) would be gone. That is why insurance on the house is mandatory when we have a mortgage. Same goes for cars or other assets that we normally finance.
This business of purchasing insurance has been around for quite some time. True enough, insurance costs are greater and greater, but the notion is quite old.
Now all of a sudden, it really is 2007 and we live in a rather strange ” new world “. Its a brand new world where gangs of thieves still steal from us, but they steal in ways we never imagined. Our identity is stolen by them.
I imagine that attempting to describe the theory of a ” buy Lifelock” will be nearly impossible should a man from the 1800’s should time-travel forward in to our generation. But even for many of us the theory can be quite a bit fuzzy.
The simple answer is that criminals now pretend to be us. Our identity is assumed by them to some measure (big or small) and we have been hurt in the act. The damage could be crippling. Thieves may steal our identity, make an application for loans, and then of course not pay the loans. The bad information goes onto our credit report (not the thief’s) and destroy our good credit scores.
However it may be much worse. The burglar may do items that trigger alerts to the authorities. That is, they could act in this kind of way (e.g. passing bad checks) that warrants are issued for our arrest – when we now have done nothing to deserve it. The authorities can’t be hardly blamed by you. They see that Someone In Particular is passing bad checks all over town. They’re going to arrest Someone In Particular.
But poor Someone In Particular knows nothing of this criminal conduct. He pleads his innocence to the police, but then again, everyone else pleads their innocence to the authorities. This definitely will not dissuade an arresting officer.
Until they could ultimately show that while they are John Doe, they are not that John Doe, Jail time has been even spent by some, wrongly so.
The end result of all that is financial loss. The total amount of time and energy to recover your identity and good financial credit worthiness is tremendous.
So, what to do?
Well, we should have a simple change in doctrine.
In the same way we lock our doors on our car and insure our automobiles for loss, we must do the same with a thing that is much more valuable.
We must insure it against loss lock our identity and then.
At present, the best choice I am aware to carry through this really is the bright rising star in the business: Lifelock promo code. This company does just what I have described. They lock the doors and insure the vehicle. Or to be much more exact, they lock my identity and then insure my identity. They pay as much as $ 1 million to set things right, if some body sneaks through the walls of security click here.
