The Facts Concerning Natural and Organic Skin Care

Living much healthier now boils down to even the items you put on your skin. Therefore people from all walks of life have boosted their desire to make better buying choices. It just doesn’t make good sense to place toxins on our body.
This raises a question we often face from consumers which is what the difference is between ‘natural’ and ‘organic’ skin care. Quite possibly it’s best we start by investigating non-natural products.
Non-natural products often use water as their base. Having said that, although the water is ‘natural’ it can be primarily used to simply dilute the product which in turns increases the profits for the company.
Then there is also the additives and fillers used in non-natural products to produce what appears to be a creamy and smooth end result. The key point is ‘appears’.
The nail in the coffin for the non-natural products in our opinion, as a 100 % natural skin care company, is the fact that they use chemical preservatives.
At this point you might be frustrated and/or angry.
Along with what you read here and other places on the internet, see to it to do your own due diligence.
All we can add to the above is that our ingredients are all natural and even the preservative we use in our products is natural. Yes, you read that right. Even the preservative in our products to help them last longer is 100 % natural.
Ideally a skin care product should be based on plant and mineral ingredients that come from the earth. You may hear these natural ingredients labeled as ‘botanical’. Essentially, a product that wishes to be defined as organic or natural should consist of ingredients that are not chemical nor are they made by man.
These organic and natural skin care products focus on revitalizing and rejuvenating your skin by cleansing it, nourishing it, and then maintaining it by providing the skin with what it needs naturally to function properly.
Natural or organic skin care products should never hurt your body or damage it in any fashion. Even deep cleansing should not result in stripping your skin of it’s natural oils if the products are formulated correctly.
Here in lies another question. What is the difference then between organic and natural.
The straightforward answer is that natural products are not regulated and organic ones (products that use organic ingredients) are.
There are countless official organizations that are used to validate a products organic claim. However, whether natural or organic, you will have to do your own due diligence when investigating any product. Exhaustively read through the labels and verify that a company has been formally rated as organic. You’ll be surprised what you find.
In the long run, you the consumer make the eventual decision. Lots of companies ‘claim’ their products are natural but their labels states otherwise due to the fact they are composed of chemicals. There really are companies out there that care about the consumer and deliver on their organic and natural products.
