How to use a muscle roller to stop aching muscles after a gym session or ride

Experiencing pain after a workout? Well, awesome! This is a wonderful thing as it means that you are working out those muscles. This is going to lead toward quick weight loss or an increase in the size of your muscles…basically whatever you are going for. Obviously you don’t want to suffer from thissoreness for too long though. This is why it is very important that you deal with it as soon as possible. Thankfully there arethings on the market which will let you to do this. Let me introduce you to the idea of a massage roller which can be seen here.
A muscle roller, also known as a Massage Stick is a rather simple contraption. This means that they are incredibly inexpensive. If you use them properly then you will get pretty much the same satisfaction as if you had just spent a shed load of dollars on having a prol massage carried out. At heart these rollers are long plastic rods. They have been designed in such a way that they can provide nice relief to your muscles however. Let me tell you how you can use them to relieve sore muscles after a hard workout.
One of the main reasons as to why we suffer from muscle knots is due to the build-up of lactic acid in our muscles. Stretching will help displace some of this lactic acid. It won’t deal with the problem totally though. This is where therod will come in. As you are rolling it across the muscles that you have worked out that lactic acid will be eradicated…or at least redistributed so it does not pose much of a problem anymore. As you use the stick you will feel almost instant relief. It is quite a nicel feeling.
So, how do you use a massage stick? Simple! You just grab both ends of the stick, hold firmly on the muscle and roll it back and forth. You don’t want to push so hard that it causes increased amounts of musclesoreness though. You do wantsolid pressure though. If you have ever had a professional massage carried out then this is about the amount of pressure that you are going to need. You will want to repeat this process for all of the muscles which have had a workout.
A muscle roller stick can work for a number of different jobs too. For example, if you are suffering from exhausted muscles after a long and strenuous session then the muscle roller will be able to put a bit of life back into them. It is even useful if you are suffering fromtightness in your muscles or a build-up of lactic acid.
Now, there are alot of muscle rollers on the market. The one that I suggest can be found here: The reason why I recommend it is because it is not onlywonderfully stiff but compact. This means that you will easily be able to carry it to wherever you are working out and alleviate that muscle pain before it even starts to get too much to take!
