Proper Guidelines To Writing An Article

Writing an article is one of the best ways to get traffic to your website. You can make your articles readily available for reprints by ezine publishers and webmasters. This process can build amazing traffic consisting of pre-qualified visitors to your listings. Just remember that you need to provide a well written article that has value to your readers.
Title Well
Your headlines are very important. In fact, the headline is what reaches out and grabs potential readers. You want to hook them with your title and make them curious enough to read your article. Be sure to add some sizzle to your opening paragraph, too. You want to keep them on your page and reading as long as possible.
Watch the Spelling Errors
Take a little time to proof your article for spelling errors. Read everything through once for content and then slowly look back over it to check for misspelled words. Your writing is a direct reflection of you and the product or service you are promoting. Put your best foot forward and remember that first impressions matter.
Voice Your Articles
Let your reader get to know you. Writing an article for the purpose of internet marketing is not the same as writing a term paper or thesis. “Talk” to your readers and let them know what it is you can do for them. Be sure to keep your “voice” the same throughout the article. If you start out with first person voice (I, me), then don’t switch to third person (they, them, he, she) in the middle of the article. This can be distracting to the reader and you want them focused in on what you have to say.
Don’t Self-Promote
Do you like to read articles that insult your intelligence? Your readers will pick up on “hard sells,” and excessive bragging. When writing an article, keep your message simple and straight forward. Provide the information people are looking for and only sell or pitch your company in the Resource Box located below the body of the article.
What To Write
Research keywords and find out what readers are looking for. Take the time to complete this important research. If no one is looking for your information, you will be wasting time in writing an article. Use bullet points, numbered lists or titled paragraphs. Cover your topic in a way that has not been done before. Narrow in on a specific niche and put a unique spin on the topic. Think outside the box.
Plagiarizing is a No-No
It is a great idea to research your topic on the internet and see what other people are writing about. Make sure you have a clear idea in your head of what you want to say. Then sit down at your computer and flesh out your ideas. Writing an article for marketing takes a bit of work, but you want to make sure your idea is original or at least has a unique slant.
Writing an article is a terrific way to drive traffic. The internet is all about content, content and more content. Everybody is searching for something. Make sure they find what you have to offer.
