Do you love to write? Do you also want to make some extra money or even make a full time living writing? If so then here is how to get a job writing articles. Hint: It’s not nearly as difficult as you think!
Did you know that most people don’t enjoy their job? Even those who picked a career early in life, attended college specifically for their profession, and then lucked out and were able to find a job in their field. After a while if you poll these folks, a lot of them will tell you they are not happy with their job. For these individuals it may just be a case of choosing a job too early in life before they truly knew what they wanted to do.
It takes a while to really know what makes you happy. Careers that sounded great when you were in high school often no longer sound as good after you have some life experience.
Luckily, if you have a job that you are unhappy with, or if you are just looking to find something you can do from home, obtaining a job writing articles is fairly easy nowadays.
A few things though. First, you should enjoy writing or at least like it enough to be able to spend several hours a day working at it. Also, you should be somewhat proficient with the English language. It is not necessary to be an English major or even someone who is a real expert at writing, but just be able to put sentences together in a way that makes sense and is easy to read. Often it helps to just pretend you’re writing to a friend.
Okay now that we have that out of the way, where should you go to look for an article-writing job? The classified ads? A job fair? A newspaper? Book publishers? Not at all! If you spend much time at all online, you’ve probably noticed that everyone and their second cousin has a website these days. And these sites need visitors. Anyone can set up a site but in order to get people to go there, the webmasters need to put out a lot of content all over the Internet in the form of articles pertaining to whatever subject their website is about.
Business is truly booming for those interested in writing articles for a living. All you need to do is let it be known that you are offering your writing services, name your price (within reason), and you will be off and running. It’s almost so easy that you can basically decide how much you want to make. If you want to aim for, as an example, $100 per day, that is a very easy and doable goal.
