Copywriters – Create The Ultimate Sales Letter That Will Close More Customers

If you are starting out in copywriting and you need to create a mouth-watering sales letter that will get your customers all hot and bothered about your product, then you have come to the right place. In order to create the perfect sales letter you have to have the right ingredients. Read on to find out more.
As copywriter, you are charged with the task that you need to convince the customer that they need the product so bad that they are willing to pry their greedy little fingers off their credit cards and hand them over to you. You may be working for a client, or you may be working for yourself, selling your own products. Either way, the only copywriters that win are the ones that close the sale. However, if you stack the deck in your favor before you begin, your chance of success are going to be much higher.
The most important thing that you have to have BEFORE starting any copywriting project is a starving market for the product. There must be a need in advance, or you will be climbing up a steep hill and fighting the process the entire way. Once you have found that hungry market, your product must solve a problem that the customer actually has. The customer does not necessarily have to now they have a problem (some of the most brilliant copy shows the customers that they have hidden problems), but the problem does have to exist.
Now that the stage is set, you can begin the process. You need catch the prospect’s attention. This is done with a headline that creates a question in the prospect’s mind. Nothing too outrageous, but exciting enough to make the reader want more. Then you open up with a lead. The lead creates more interest to get the reader to go into the body copy.
The body copy should be very easy to read, as if you were just talking to the prospect over a sandwich. There should be plenty of bullet points. each bullet should list the important benefits of the product that will solve a problem for the customer, and how the customer can find out more.
Once you have created solid body copy, you need to create some kind of call to action towards the end. Tell the prospect how to order the product and re-state your product offer. Include bonus material and value-creating services that beef up the value of the entire package. The customer will only buy when they feel like they are almost stealing from you, or they are really going to win by making a purchase.
Don’t forget your guarantee at the end. You need to develop a good guarantee so that your customer’s don’t have their guard of skepticism raised. You want to make the customer confident with their purchase, and anything you can do to ease their mind needs to be put in the sales letter.
