Article Marketing – Using Article Templates Makes It Easier

Writing articles is the fastest way to drive traffic to your website and gain authority status in your market. For many people writing comes very easy and natural, for others it is a bit of a struggle in the beginning until you gain experience.  If you are one of those people who find it difficult to write articles, using an article template will make it easier for you to get the job done.
This is the template I used for writing when I first got started.
Title- This is important as it will be the headline that grabs a reader’s attention and makes them read on. But don’t let it stress you. I often opt to give the article a title after it is written. So you can come back to it or amend it at any time during the article writing process.
Introduction – Your first paragraph tells the reader what the article is about. Your main keyword should be in the first sentence. Keep it short. Just 3-4 sentences that will let your reader know you will be giving them the info they are looking for.
Bullet Points – Using bullet points as the body of your article is the easiest way to get your ideas into writing. It is also very good for the reader. Most readers are scanners first. They will quickly scan an article to see if it is worth their time reading it. If you create bullet points they can see at a glance if you are going to give them an answer to their problem. Bold the subject of each bullet point to make it easier for the viewer to scan. Using 3-5 bullet points will also make it easier for you to plan and organise your article. All you have to do is jot down three to five main ideas and you have the hardest part of writing the article already done.
Summary – The summary will be your closing statement with a call to action. You should have your main keyword in the last sentence of the article. The call to action will be different depending on your reason for writing. If you are writing for article directories, you should be letting people know in the summary that there is more information available on this topic.
Resource box or author bio – Keep this one short and to the point. Do not feel the need to tell your life story or your business history. Quite frankly, readers don’t care. Use this space as a natural conclusion to your call to action. If you have let them know there is more information on the topic, then it is natural to let them know they can find that information on your website and provide one link back to your site where they can read more.
If you follow this template, writing articles will be as simple as coming up with a few bullet points and then expanding on them. Don’t let the thought of writing be intimidating to you. Article marketing really is the easiest and fastest way to get the word out about your business or website.
