Ways To Create Eye-Catching Headlines For Your Articles

Introduction
If you want more traffic to your articles, you need to have eye-catching, key word rich titles. I have written close to 500 articles and have looked at those that get a lot of traffic, especially at their titles, to see what drove people to read more of the article.
I also looked at the titles that were not getting much traffic so I can learn from those too.
Here is what I found.
Titles That Get A Lot Of Traffic
The articles that I have written that are eye-catching and get the most traffic are ones that ask a question, such as “Wine Tannins – Are They Good Or Bad”. But one article title does not make a trend. So I evaluated my other article names that I write under to see what were the top titles under those authors.
I have six author names I write under so I looked at each and found that the top titles, with the most traffic, always asked a question.
The next titles that were getting the most clicks usually offered advice, such as having the term “how to” or “what to do” in the title. An example is my article that has the second most views is “Losing Your Hair – What To Do And What Not To Do”.
Titles That Do Not Get Traffic
The second thing I wanted to do was to find those titles that did not get much traffic. What I found from my evaluation was that titles that are bland get little traffic. Bland titles are just that, they do not excite people to want to read further.
Some of the bland titles I found in my many articles where such titles as, “Hair Loss – Men and Women” and “Hair Loss Types”. Did these titles excite you to want to read on? They did not excite me; I cannot believe I wrote such garbage for titles.
My task now is to go back to my low traffic articles and change the title to something catchier, such as “Hair Loss – What Men And Women Need To Do” and “What Are The Different Types Of Hair Loss”.
Conclusion
Want good eye-catching titles, write titles that ask a question or provide a solution to a problem. Stay away from titles that are bland and do not excite. As a test, read the title yourself, does it excite you? If not, then it will not excite other people either, so change it.
