Most beginner article writers don’t realize the benefits of increasing the amount of people to their list. It’s well known that ‘the money is in the list’. So, the more people that you have signed up with your list, the more chance you have of making sales with your products.
But, in order to grow your list, you must have traffic to your squeeze page. And not just traffic, you need qualified or targeted traffic. These are people who are truly interested in your product or niche. They are not just tire kickers who noticed title that caught their eye. They might have even read the entire article but, at the end, they really didn’t care to pursue it any further.
The best way to get qualified readers to sign up for your list is through the use of a squeeze page. So what is a squeeze page? It is simply a web page that has only one purpose – to capture the name and email address of the people who have read your article and want more information on your subject.
They get to this page from the call to action link on your article, which asks them to click on the link that you have provided to get to your squeeze page. You also should include a free gift as an inducement for them to click through.
An example of a good, free gift is a self-written ebook. It should be short, approximately 10 pages, and should be germane to the topic of your article. Remember, the whole purpose of joining your list is that the subscribers receive email filled with information about your product or niche.
So, this free eBook is a sort of audition of your writing skills – this is the type of information that your readers should expect with your forthcoming email. That’s why I think that you should write your eBook yourself because it shows the true ‘you’. Plus, it gives you a great writing experience as a novice writer.
Yes, you can pay someone else to write the eBook or you can even get a paid (or free) PLR eBook that allows you to edit and change the name and title. This takes almost as much time as writing your own so why not write from scratch?
