I understand if you’re writing copy for a client and he’s not willing to put a guarantee out there that instills confidence in the buyer that there is little you can do, or if you’re writing copy for a product that is being sold through Clickbank where you are stuck with their 56 day one, but what about the other cases where you are in control of that guarantee? Are you making the most of it, or are you going with the standard offer and boring your prospects to tears? If you are, you might want to read this article. It will really open up your eyes to how important a drop dead guarantee really is.
The standard guarantee just doesn’t work as well anymore and here is why. Just about every product that you see out there today has a guarantee. It is expected that the product have one. If you don’t, you are pretty much looking for disaster. However, because of this, and because most people go with the standard 30 or 60 days, prospects are turning a blind eye to them. Heck, most of the people who come to your sales page don’t even notice your guarantee because it is so lame. As a result, what happens is that it has no impact on their buying decision.
So what’s the solution to this? The solution is that you have to offer one that is so amazing, so off the charts, that the prospect can’t help but notice. You can do this in one of two ways. One way is by increasing the length of time to some astronomical figure like six months or even a year. Trust me, a prospect will notice a guarantee of that length. Another way is by offering double your money back or even triple your money back. This is another tactic that will also get people to notice.
I understand that there is a reluctance to offer guarantees of this nature because there is always the fear that the customer will take advantage of them. Well, here’s the kicker. The few who do take advantage of them won’t be anywhere near the number of extra sales that you make because of the incredible offer that you have made to them. After all, six months or a year or double or triple your money back is quite a deal and very few people will pass up on a deal like that.
So when you write your sales letter, make sure that your guarantee stands out. Be proud of it and your product.
Your sales will thank you for it.
To YOUR Success,
Education
