Retirement – Make Money At Home In Retirement

Introduction
I am retired, on a fixed income, but I can see increased costs coming with the rising cost in fuel, food and medical. So I looked for ways to supplement my income.
I set down some parameters I was willing to work within. These parameters were:
I did not want to work outside my home.
I wanted to pick my own work hours and days.
Wanted to keep it easy, but mentally refreshing.
The last parameter was I wanted it to be rewarding by providing a service.
What Is Article Marketing
I found it in Article Marketing. Article Marketing is where you promote a niche or single product by writing articles about it. The goal is to get people interested in the niche you are promoting and drive them to your pre-sell page. After more discussion on your product or niche, they will then want to go to the sell page where hopefully they will by what you are promoting.
By going into the Article Marketing business I satisfied all my parameters:
I work at home.
I can pick the hours and days that I work.
Once I started writing articles it got easier and easier. Plus researching the niches and products allows me to stay mentally alert.
By providing information on the niche or product, I believe I am providing a valuable service to people who seek the information I provide.
What To Watch Out For
If you want to get into Article Marketing, here are some things you need to be aware of that I wasn’t when I started this process. This should save you some major disappointment and allow you to succeed:
Your First Article- I never wrote much in my life, in fact I hated to write. My first article took me four days to write. Now I can write a quality article in one to two hours. It will take you many articles to get to this level but it gets easier and easier.
More Than One Article- It will take more than one article to promote you niche or product. I wrote many articles on many different items and did not get much traffic. What I learned was that I had to pick one niche and write many articles about that one niche. Once I understood this, my traffic and sales dramatically improved.
Read The Requirements- When you partner with an affiliate program and a directory that will post your articles, read their requirements carefully, and abide by them. Failure to abide by the requirements will get you temporarily or permanently banned.
