As an article writer, I am pretty sure that the last thing that you would like to happen is to see your articles left unread in the online arena as this would mean waste of your time and energy. If nobody pays attention to what you write, there’s no way that you can use your articles to generate traffic and interest for your website. You don’t want that to happen, right?
So, here are some tips to make your articles reader-magnet:
First step is to choose subjects or topics that are proven to be very interesting to the people that you’re targeting. What I suggest is that you talk about their problems, their goals in life, their burning questions, and their areas of interest. Of course, you need to make sure that your chosen topics are related to what you sell. You’ll be able to get a solid idea about the exact information that your target audience are looking for by doing surveys and by conducting keyword research.
Use compelling titles. Before you put in so much time and effort in putting together great content, focus first on creating compelling titles that will grab you target readers by the throat. Years of writing my own articles have taught me that titles that contain power words like “how, tips, revealed, etc.” are more effective. It will also help if you tell your target audience the kind of information that you’ll be giving out and the benefits that they can enjoy after reading your articles.
Put together extra-ordinary content. Most article marketers I know are focusing so much on producing a lot of articles without really thinking about their quality. Well, this is something that you don’t want to do. You see, if there’s one thing that is considered most important in article marketing, it would be the quality of each article that you produce. You’ll be judged by your readers and they’ll decide if they’ll do business with you based on the way your articles were written and based on the information that you’re giving out. If your articles are extremely informative and useful, you have better chances of converting your readers to potential buyers.
Make it sound more personal. Your readers need to know that there’s a human being behind your articles and that they were not produced through the use of article spinning software.
Put some personal touch by simply using conversational tone. Use first-person pronouns and make your readers feel that you’re directly talking to them. Also, use lay man’s terms instead of highly technical terms or big words so you can help your readers easily understand the message that you’re trying to get across. Lastly, build connection with your readers by empathizing with them when needed or when talking about their problems. It will work to your advantage if you make these people feel that you do understand where they are coming from.
