September is like a new beginning, and we all want to be noticed. While some are tempted by the preppy look to play teacher’s pet, others prefer to express their rebellious side. And they are in luck, because the rock ‘n roll look is stronger than ever this season in fashion wardrobes, with even more studded accessories and biker boots. Straps, thick lug soles and metallic buckles with skinny jeans but also chic little dresses, to rev up our Autumn style.
Created in 2004 from the passion and intuition of its founder for the world of footwear, the brand Koah has made a name for themselves in France and abroad in creating their collections from A to Z with loads of character. Fabricated with attention to detail and finishing, they combine quality, comfort and originality all while following the constantly evolving market trends. Koah has forged their own identity through their creation of timeless pices. The constant search for quality raw materials is part of the process that gives the brand added value. The manufacturing of shoes requires expertise and technique, such as making washed leather for an aged look. The strength of the brand? The product itself…the colelctions are part of a trendy vintage universe and reflect Koah’s inspiration to impress us season after season. Koah is targeting “shoe addicts” of all ages, men and women, who wish to assert their style in an original way.
Established in 1920, Palladium made tyres for airplanes. In 1947, with experience under their belt, Palladium decided to manufacture shoes using the same principles of vulcanized rubber and canvas. The “Pampa” model was already well known for its authentic design, clean lines and durability. Today, available also in leather, it continues to be a favourite model of world travelers.
Initially, it was a curious partnership: the German doctor Klaus Maartens with his garage of inventions, and the Griggs family, a English industrial family from Northampton. Together they created a shoe that would be comfortable, practical, durable and with a classic design, mounted on an insole, the first of its kind with an air cushion. This work shoe, named the 1460 after its release date of April 1, 1960, has gone through quite an evolution ever since. Without even trying, the brand Dr Martens became an underground Anglo-Saxon subculture phenomenon. Year after year, Dr Martens became like a rally cry and means of expression as an icon of music and rock ‘n roll. Today, more than 50 years after its creation, the brand is hugely popular with trendy new models available in all colours, like a canvas for future generations.
