How You Can Prove You Are The Original Author Of An Article

Imagine spending the time in creating a literary master piece or a poem that you wrote and that master piece really expresses the thought and emotion you intended to capture. Now, imagine sharing that same work with friends or family and they really, really like it. As time progresses, you open your favorite magazine and you see…Your Poem!
I’m sure this has happened to many, someone else taking the credit for your work and being recognized and compensated for it. Who can afford a patent of a registered trademark these days? Well, until you can scrape together the funds needed to get a registered trademark or until you can spend the $35 it cost to get a copyright, you can do this one simple task that will be the proof need that you created the work.
Here are the instructions on setting the stage for your proof, but first let me give you the scenario. So, now we see that your best friend or a complete stranger had prospered from your work they claim they produced. Lets now fast forward to the conversation you may have with your attorney when you take this person to court to prove they stole your work. Your attorney makes their case and states to the judge you have proof the literary work was inspired by you and you created it. Your attorney hands the judge a sealed unopened envelope, postmarked with a date, and on the reverse of the envelope there is a seal (cellophane tape) with your name, date time and signature (visible under the tape) that you mailed to yourself for safe keeping. The contents of this envelope will contain your original document(s) of your literary masterpiece. Of course I’m not an attorney, this is what I believe to be a great idea (first inspired by someone else I am not aware of and it was passed down to me). I’m sure this will provide you with the proof needed to prove original authorship of a document. If not, please let me know by your reply.
As soon as you realize or you already know that your writings are something inspiring and of interest to others, get a copyright. If you can not for some reason, place it in an envelope and mail it to yourself using the above information as per the scenario. And there you have it, a fast way to prove your work is yours. Of course this will not work if you are not the original author and the one who took the time to get a copyright and has overwhelming proof the work is theirs will prevail.
