Six Tips To Get Ideas For Great Article Writing

OK – so you’ve read that article writing is the road to internet riches. Well, it certainly is for many – and it could be for you as well, But notice the phrase “article writing” and I emphasize “writing”. Writing is the key that could unlock the door to your financial independence. All well and good, that is, if you can write methodically and regularly on your chosen niche.
But what happens when the well of creativity runs dry? How do you get ideas for article writing?
This informative article provides six techniques and habits that I, and many others, have found work and which have give me ideas for articles, and writing them. These nuggets aren’t in order of important, but each one is proven and effective.
First, always make sure that you have a small notebook so you can jot ideas down when they come to you. I have found that the last place I get ideas is in front of my word processor.
And, I’ll let you into a secret – I don’t carry a notebook and pen! I use the note function on my mobile phone. This may not work if you have a hone that’s a year or two old, but if you have a recent one that also has a camera, you’re made. If you don’t have time to tap out a word or phrase that you’ll recognize later, take a quick photo that will link you to the place where you had the idea It will come back to you, I promise.
Second, get outdoors and take some exercise. Walk around the block, go for a run, visit the gym. Get writing out of your mind and let your body take the strain. You’ll be surprised at the ideas that well up.
Next, change the place where you write. If you write at home, or in an office, consider going somewhere else to write. Try your local library or maybe a cafe. The change of surroundings will often go a long way to unblocking the creative juices and getting you ideas for article writing again.
Fourth, take a break. Watch TV or – better still – take in a movie. I find a movie is more freeing-up than television because of the greater facility for getting caught up in the drama. For those two hours I’m completely absorbed. Escapism is fine, because when you return you’ll be refreshed and you’ll find the article writing comes far easier.
Fifth, use a template. Uh? Well, a template is like a blueprint, or a mold. An example of an article template that I like is “The ABC of -” And you write a brief opening paragraph, and then each subsequent paragraph begins something like, “A is for – ” and so on. If you complete all twenty-six paragraphs using each letter of the alphabet you will probably have enough material for at least three articles!
Finally, relax! I know, I know – your blood pressure is already rising when you hear the word “relax” but tension does not aid creativity. I once entered a competition to write so many articles in such and such a period of time. I found myself slipping behind and missing my self-imposed targets. I was moaning about this to a friend who said, “Relax – you’ll do it.” She was right – I did, and I did.
And you will too! Try out one or two of these ideas for article writing and you’ll be surprised at the results.
My best to you.
