Drawing a blank about what to write for article marketing success? Consider journaling your way to success by writing down the context of your article writing efforts. Give your mind a little break by writing about writing, instead of writing the conceptual article.
When I journal, I don’t have to think about what I’m writing, I just write about my experience.
Recording the experience of writing means something different to each of us, but in my situation, it often means just putting my thoughts on paper, allowing them to meander through the process of penning concepts and then waiting for them to jell. The waiting process could become tedious, or it could simply be a moment in time when I can walk away from writing and allow my daily work and chores to get done while the articles come together in my mind.
Many a day, the dishwater has gotten cold while I rush back to the computer to tap out an important article that I hadn’t been able to come up with before I started working on chores. Working from home has benefits. Have you ever folded laundry while you spoke your article into existence on a wireless headset? It works well.
Mindless chores coagulate thoughts.
Take a brain dump while you clear your desk. The simple task of sorting through paperwork, putting files together and rearranging office supplies in your desk drawers may be enough to stimulate a brain dump that gets your article marketing process started with a roaring big beginning. Don’t forget the wireless headset, you can speak it into existence as you take out the trash.
Give voice to article concepts and points.
On the wall above my desk is a mountain scene, chilled by autumn colors (aspen turning on the water’s edge) a boat dock built out into the lake appears to hang in limbo as rocks spire up out of the water near the edge of the painting. Unsigned, this painting gives voice to the unfinished projects of an artist’s mind. The artist is me. Looking up at this particular painting inspires me. I can’t remember why it was the painting that got hung above my desk – I know it wasn’t intentional at first because I’m not fond of this particular painting, but it remains, because I’ve become inspired by the concept of my work being unfinished… There’s more yet to do.
This applies to article concepts and points. If you have the concept and points, you have the beginnings of a great article. The rest comes once those concepts and points are on paper (either by voice or by pen) and the introduction is a complex statement of interest combining the concepts to interest the reader.
