Perhaps, you are an online article writer, and you have written so many articles now that you realize the importance of all this information. You’ve spent countless hours creating all this content and it is valuable to you. Perhaps you have the information on a computer, and a backup drive somewhere. That’s a good idea, but maybe there is another concept you should consider. Why not find a really solid online article directory, and post your articles there, knowing that they will be maintained by the online company in case you lose your data.
Consider this if you will; more and more people are moving into cloud storage platforms to secure their data. Google just came out with the computer which doesn’t actually have a hard drive, and it only works when you are online, and connected to their cloud, which also can store all of your information, where it’s protected from hackers, cyber warfare, computer viruses, and perhaps your own stupidity because it is all backed up in the cloud.
Even if you have a computer with a very large hard drive, and a backup hard drive to store your information, it still might make sense to post your articles to online article directories, as it is another way to distribute your information, perhaps gain a little traffic to your website, and also know that that information is safe and secure in one more location. We never know what might happen in the future. I remember a story recently where someone had their home burned down due to a wildfire, and they weren’t home at the time, they were unable to get their computer out as all of their neighbors were forced to evacuate.
They did store all of their information on a secondary hard drive, unfortunately it was also in the same house. That didn’t do them much good did it? Luckily, they were a writer of e-books, and they sold those e-books online, and therefore had uploaded them to an e-book website, but, they also had many articles they’d written for print publications, and the only copy or backup they had was on their computer and their extra hard drive. Had they loaded those articles into an article directory site they would have had an extra copy, just as they had an extra copy of all of their e-books.
Are you beginning to see my point in this? If you are a leader in your industry, or a writer with a lot of content, perhaps you might consider this as another safeguard for all that hard work you put in, it would be a shame to lose it all, and you just never know what can happen. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think.
