How To Get Traffic From Article Marketing

Article marketing of course is the process of writing articles and submitting them online. But it also can include writing articles and putting them on your own site, or writing articles and getting them published on niche blogs.
The way you get traffic from the articles you write is that when you write the articles and they are published on a website, sometimes the search engines feature your article in their search results. Or other websites link to your article and direct their visitors to your site. Why would they do that? Simply because you have written something they think will be useful to their subscribers or visitors.
One of the things I see people doing wrong in article marketing is not writing articles for people, but instead writing them for google. But if you get into Google and your article doesn’t engage people, then people don’t respond to your article anyway, so what’s the point? Instead, if you write genuine useful content for real people, then people will refer you article to their friends, websites will link to your article, and Google will be more than happy to send you free traffic.
So what are the steps?
Write about what people want to learn. You should know in your niche what people want to learn about. For example, if you are in the “psychological writing” niche you should know what people in that niche want to learn. Surely they want to learn about “psychological writing.” But maybe there are standard questions that people in your niche have. How do you find those? If you have a list of subscribers, ask them. If you don’t have a list of subscribers, go to the online forums and find out what people are asking in your niche. Go to popular blogs, read articles, then look at the comments and see what people are asking. You see, generally people are asking questions if they don’t know the answer. And if you have the answer, write an article about it, so the next time someone wants to know the answer to that and they Google for the answer, your article can come up in the search results.
Write 3-5 articles per day. Put one article on your website. Put another on an article directory. Become a guest blogger and write one article a day for a guest blog. Post one article on your social media hangout, like Facebook. In each article, direct people to both your squeeze page another article you have written.
Tell your prospects about your articles. Recommend they read them. Ask them to link to them on their own blogs if they like what they have read from you.
