Snagit Stamps – where do I find great ones?

To use stamps in Snagit can greatly enhance the quality of your Snagit screen captures. Graphic callouts or Stamps as they are called in Snagit are effectively used to annotate your graphics. It could be used for example to draw attention to certain parts of your screen capture, to mark in what order things should be looked at or simply to create an impact.

Well chosen and professionally designed stamps can often greatly improve your reports, technical writing, web creation or other screen capture work. I often use stamps to enhance my screen captures when collaborating with co-workers. Snagit stamps help me clarify and create impact in my communication. One of my favorites is to use the big red jelly question mark included in SuperStamps.

To work with Stamps in Snagit is easy. Just open the Snagit editor and chose the Stamp icon to open the Stamp menu. Choose a stamp of your liking and paste it into your screen capture image.

After adding the stamp to your image you can change the size, or flip the image horizontally or vertically by dragging the corners. You can also move the entire stamp across your image by clicking and dragging it.

When satisfied with the position you can add effects to it. Shadow and opacity effects are available under the Effects menu. The shadow is a great way to distinguish a stamp from a background and make it stand out. The opacity can be effectively used to make a stamp less intrusive.
