About a year or so ago I needed a new bridge replaces and had to find a dentist to do it.

What I did was I asked colleagues at work, family members and everyone else I met during the next week or so for recommendations.

As result of that I got a few names of good orthodontists in my area (after all I didn’t want to drive for an hour to see a dentist).

During the next few days when I had a few minutes to spare I would look up doctors names online along with the words review and complaint. I wanted to see if there were any past clients who have shared their experience with the dentists I was considering.

It looked like these guys were good. I couldn’t find a single negative review. But I had to choose one anyway so I kept digging.

So I went a step further. I looked up the site of the state board that certifies them to make sure they were all certified.

Please take my advice – do the same. Fire up your favorite search engine and type in the name of your state and board of dentistry – Florida board of dentistry for instance.

Of the three dental doctors I was considering all three were licensed (surprise, surprise) but I still had to pick one.

I couldn’t think of anything else to do but to give them a call and hope that one will impress me more than the other two.

I asked them questions about my insurance and whether or not they work with it along with a few other questions.

One of the offices I called said they would call me back with answers to my questions but they never did. That made my job easier because I had to choose between two. I went with my gut and I am happy to say that I made the right decision.

That’s all folks. I told you my method was easy to follow, didn’t I. First – ask friends, family members and colleagues to recommend you dentists. Secondly, have a short list of the ones whose names keep coming up. Third, call them up and talk with them. Pick a winner.
