Split Tunnelling is an extremely useful tool for those that only need certain applications to use or not use a VPN. This new Split Tunnelling feature means you can get the best of both worlds, making your VPN experience a lot more convenient.
Blacklist – All apps will use VPN except for the defined ones
Whitelist – Only defined apps will use VPN
IKEv2 is one of the most secure protocols available, but many ISPs block or throttle it. With our new Stealth Mode, we have made some modifications to how Windows configures the protocol, so that you get to keep the same level of security you have come accustomed to, but don’t have to worry about your ISP blocking or throttling your connection.
Previously, our Kill Switch worked in what is called “User Mode”, a layer of the OS that applications are executed in and then communicate with deeper layers of the OS, such as the kernel. Running in this high layer opens up the possibility for conflicts meaning that the Kill Switch may not work reliably. To rectify this, we have moved the Kill Switch to the kernel, the lowest level of the OS. This means that no other apps can get in the way of the Kill Switch. You no longer have to worry about your Kill Switch working when it matters, because this new implementation ensures it will.
If you enable the “Kill Switch” feature and your VPN connection drops, you will see the following screen that will allow you to either reconnect the VPN or re-enable the internet:
