Get Paid To Write – Three Quick Ways To Get Published Online

If you’re a writer, perhaps the easiest way to get published is to write an article for publication on the internet. In this article I will share three ways to get your writing in front of the audience who wants to read it.
Everybody knows a lot about ‘something’. Everybody has expertise in some area of experience. With a potential audience of over six billion people it is practically assured that there is a reader somewhere on the planet who wants to get information about the topic you are uniquely qualified to write about. Whether you have information, advice or an opinion, you can write it for publication online.
The first way is to get your own website. You can get your own domain name and webhosting if you’re willing to pay for it. The costs are nominal. You can register a domain for less than ten dollars per year, and get a web host for three or four dollars per month if you are willing and able to do your own web and page design. Free templates are available online if you choose that route. If you are intimidated by the technical aspects of running a website or would rather not pay for it, there is a free option. Free websites are available at sites like Yahoo! GeoCities and Freewebsites.com. They also have free page templates available and after the free registration process you can copy and paste your poem, story, essay or article and be published online in minutes.
The second way is to write an article and submit it to certain websites whose purpose is to publish articles. These sites are called article banks or article directories and come in the free and paid variety. Ezinearticles.com is one of the popular free ones. Just do a Google search on the term “article banks” and you will find many more.
To get published in these article banks you need to follow the rules that each site has for acceptable content and article specs. Generally speaking, an article 400 to 500 words in length in one of the categories maintained by the site is the principal requirement. Tip lists are popular and easy to write. List five to ten things someone should know about your topic, fill it out with explanation, spell-check and grammar-check it and you can be published online quickly.
If you run a for-profit website, writing articles is one of the best ways to get the word out about your expertise and bring traffic to your website where you get the opportunity to convert them into paying customers.
The third way to get published online is free and perhaps the easiest. It is also a free-for-all in terms of content. I’m talking about blogs. Blog is short for weblog and is essentially an online journal where you can post your thoughts, comments, poetry, stories etc. You can get a free blog by going to Google.com’s Blogger.com to register.
A blog can be the ultimate in self-indulgence and narcissism or it can be useful or both. It all depends on you.
Those are three quick and inexpensive ways for any writer to get anything in front of an audience.
