Keep Your SEO Copy Sabotage Free

As with anything in life, having a plan makes it easier to succeed. It is no different with SEO copywriting. Having a plan almost guarantees that you’ll achieve your goals and meet your objectives.
If you’ve searched the internet lately, there are many ways to increase your SEO ratings. Some strategies are complicated while others are simple. It is better to keep things simple where the average person is able to understand it and implement it in a jiffy.
Use Key Words
Use keywords throughout your copy — whether the copy is for your own website or for a client. You want to be intentional and be deliberate about where you place your keywords. Use them in your title, your first paragraph, once in the middle and if possible again at the end.
Write For The Reader
When you write, remember that the copy is for the reader. It’s not for the search engines-though this is important. If you have a bunch of valuable keywords that you want to use it may be tempting to stuff them in whether they fit or not.
Identify the most important keywords and use those. If you are writing for a client and you must use every keyword then use them as long as it doesn’t make your content choppy or hard to understand. Keywords shouldn’t be stuffed in the copy — without rhyme or reason. They have a purpose and that should be as clear as your copy.
Choose Your Keywords Wisely
If you have leeway to choose the keywords, do so before hand. This will help you to write targeted SEO copy. If your client has chosen, the keywords do additional research to see which keywords are the highest rankings and use those first. Use lower ranking keywords in subtitles throughout the copy. This is one surefire way to get your keywords in.
Limit Your Keyword Usage Per Paragraph
It is good practice to use about three or four keywords per paragraph. Some may use more while other use less. You will need to judge this for yourself. The most important thing is to make sure that the copy is clear, sounds natural, and flows.
Make Your Copy Conversational
Copy needs to flow naturally. It shouldn’t be stunted or stoic. The objective is to have seamless copy. Meaning that it is not evident that you are trying to get keywords in there, but rather you are sharing valuable information with the reader.
SEO Done Right Is Like A Successful Covert Operation
Your copy is like a sales presentation. It should be brutally obvious that it’s a sales pitch. The best presentations are the ones that solve your biggest problem. Your copy should let the reader know what’s in it for him. While behind the scenes, it performs covert operations-increasing your SEO visibility or ranking.
As a copywriter, you are in a peculiar position because your job is to write copy geared for the reader, but it must also achieve the client’s goals. By implementing the following strategies, you’ll be well on your way achieving your SEO objectives for yourself or for your client-making it virtually sabotage free.
