Direct acting spring loaded pressure reducer-stabilizer CSA Mod. VRCD

The valve, spring loaded direct acting, will automatically reduce and stabilize the downstream pressure regardless of upstream and flow rate variations. The downstream and upstream pressure balanced technology, obtained by an intermediate chamber and a sturdy mobile block design, guarantees a high accuracy and long lasting performances. By means of an exclusive self-cleaning piston technology the VRCD pressure regulator stands out for a higher reliability, compared to pilot operated control valves, due reduction of maintenance and the efficiency also in case of water not perfectly treated. We would like to remember, though, that a filter is always recommended upstream of the valve, as same as the direct acting pressure relief CSA Mod. VSM installed downstream.
The hydrodynamic profile of the VRCD body, with a large expansion right downstream of the sealing seat, ensures high resistance against cavitation effects and vibrations, in case of high pressure ratio conditions.
The absence of pilots and hydraulic circuitry avoids rapid variations and consequently the risk of pressure surges, as well as possible pulsations and potential tampering. Finally even in terms of reaction time the CSA pressure reducer VRCD stands out to be the safer solution, always ensuring the proper functioning in maintaining the downstream pressure value to a constant level also in case rapid variation in demand and static conditions, like for example when used before valves in charge of tank regulation and control.
VCRD
It reduces and stabilizes the downstream pressure regardless of upstream pressure and flow rate variations.
Produced by an ISO 9001/2008 certificated company and made completely in ductile cast iron GJS 500-7 with dimensions according to the standard ISO 5752 Series 1 (DIN 3202 – NF 29305-1).
It will be of the direct spring loaded type and provided with a self cleaning piston technology balanced upstream and guided below. It will not have any diaphragm.
The pressure reducer will be piston upstream pressure balanced and made with a compensation chamber to ensure a high accuracy and a reduced pressure gab between static and dynamic conditions. Made with the lower reinforcement in bronze, a piston in stainless steel and the central shaft in stainless steel.
A sliding ring in ptfe and a lip gasket will guarantee the cleaning of the pistons surface.
The mobile block will be composed of three separate components; piston, obturator and shaft, all made in stainless steel and joined together. There will not be allowed any monoblocks or single pieces made from castings as mobile blocks.
The seat of the obturator and the gasket holder must be made in stainless steel to prevent cavitation phenomenon, as also the nuts and bolts.
The spring will be made in steel 55Si-Cr6, stabilized to maintain over time its characteristics and coated to prevent corrosion.
The pressure reducer will be supplied with two threaded connections downstream and upstream for the possibility to install gauges and in the lower part a guiding tap in brass.
The flanges will be drilled according to UNI EN 1092-2 PN 10/16/25/40 (other drillings on request).
