Writing Online Articles On Cycling Topics

All online article writers should create quality content about those topics and subjects that they are passionate about. One thing I’ve noticed over the years is far too many people are writing dispassionately, it’s as if they don’t really care, and you can see it in their writing. Many of the articles appear as if they were written for Wikipedia, “just the facts, only the facts, and nothing else ma’am.” Well, as an online reader, and as an article author I find that quite unfortunate. I think we can do better than that.
Let’s say you have a hobby that you are involved in, maybe you like to ride your bike or go on long bike rides. Maybe you have a mountain bike that you take out on the trails? Perhaps you commute on bicycle to work? All of these are wonderful topics to write about, and it is important that you share your experience, observations, and information with others. Perhaps you might be able to get someone off their butt, away from the TV set or computer long enough to get some exercise. In many regards you might be saving their lives or preventing them from getting diabetes. Do you see that point?
After writing many articles on the topic of cycling, I decided to come up with a list of subtopics to recommend to my fellow online article authors, so they can prepare their own quality content on this very subject matter. Here is a quick list to consider;
Diet
Training
Bike Races
Bike Reviews
Favorite Cyclists
Equipment Reviews
The Past and Future of Cycling
Those Who Commute by bicycle
Bicycle Safety, Bike Lanes, Helmets
Long Distance Rides of Geographic Significance
Interestingly enough, I’d written many articles about bicycling across the country at the lower latitudes in the US, breaking down each leg of the ride as a separate article. Whatever your hobby is, you should write about it, don’t just write articles having to do with your profession or business life, each one of us has an expertise of living life, tell us about how you live life on your terms, and what you’ve learned in your hobbies and other human endeavors as well. This information should be shared.
Again, if you are a cyclist, or you know a little bit about the subject there is a big need out in cyberspace for more of this material and content. You might be doing a lot of good for someone, perhaps a lowly reader that happens by your article. You might be able to change someone’s life. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this as you post your very best online articles on cycling.
