WOODS FOR THE FALL WINTER COLLECTION 2011-2012: THE BRAND THAT COMBINES THE INDIAN DESIGN WITH INDIAN CULTURE PRESENTS A NEW LINE OF SCARVES AND KEFIEHS
The Pyaar scarves, kefiehs and stoles enter into the global world that is characterized by journeys and quick transitions of ideas, objects and persons. They are the new fashion toys, versatile accessories that embody perfectly the cultural influences of a world without boundaries giving it a Bohemian touch.
They are creations of a totally European culture that “designs” and changes in order to suit every kind of personal styles. They are warm and fluffy, almost ethereal, but can dress you like any other attire. Big and long, transmutable but never bulky they change to fit the situation.
NATURAL FABRICS
The collection is projected on natural fabrics: wool in its different deviations, cotton, silk scarves, modal and lately a small quantity of cashmere. Pyaar is refined but at the same time casual and laidback.
ATMOSPHERE AND INFLUENCES
A network of information without barriers, the Japanese world to the damasque designs intertwines and blends with more traditional inspirations , from the 60’s pop motifs to the design of the 50’s. The result is a design based on futuristic ideas.
THE LINES
The basic collection gives way to an androgynous style that stands out for its intense colors like powder pink, carnation pink or cherry. The yarn dyed overlap with the tartan designs, checks and stripes that are inspired by casual flannel. In the feminine cotton scarves slightly embossed intricate weaving with mixed fibers are the base for placed prints with the informal touch. Victorian designs enclosed by Japanese micro prints and decorated with tassels are used for the kefiehs.
THE ATMOSPHERE FOR WINTER 2011-12
The entire collection takes inspiration from three main themes.
SICILIAN MARBLE TILES
For the creation of wool scarves the use of geometrical designs composed of soft lines, natural and sophisticated hues, rose, powder pink, carnation pink, from beige to grey with touches of sage green and demitasse; these are the influences of the marble tiles of Palermo, that inspire with their art and tradition.
THE WARM ATMOSPHERE OF RED MUD
Even the red mud of the tennis fields and the hues of the mud bricks influence the winter collection without invading it. The color functions as small decorations, borders and embroideries, that gives a delicate but intense touch of warmth and passion.
THE FROSTY WOODS
‘Frosty’ prints of the scarves and kefiehs are inspired by the atmosphere and nature of the Nordic forests. The frost that transforms the landscapes and melts the silhouettes, inserts itself in the design of the fabrics blurring the shapes.
