Are you building relationships within your multilevel marketing business enterprise?

We're building relationships in all aspects of our lives, right?

You started building relationships when you were but a little munchkin. When you met that other kid down the street when you were five years old, you developed a friendship that is most likely still there today. Heck, you might not really even like that person, but you're still friends to this day. Why? Because in the beginning, you both had the same interests. Whether it was playing with a specific toy or playing certain games, you built an unshakable bond with that person by identifying just a few similarities in interests and values. Over time, you've nurtured that relationship and I'm willing to bet you have some common values you both believe in.

Let's fast forward to your teenage years... You see that girl or guy sitting across the classroom, you start getting flush and butterflies go through your stomach... You know what I'm talking about! You've got a crush! When you started dating that first boyfriend or girlfriend, how did it start? You've probably heard people say that you have to build a friendship first before you can be lovers, right? Well, maybe you can relate with this, but when I was younger, I didn't truly understand how that worked. I always ended up in the "friend zone!" If that happened to you too, I'm truly sorry! The friend zone sucks! It wasn't until much later in life that I realized what everyone meant. When you meet someone you're attracted to, you start building a rapport, but it's okay to let your future intentions be known! You court the other person until the bond of love, friendship, and companionship materializes. It's a process...

Have you ever noticed that when you are hanging around certain people for extended periods of time, you start picking up some of their habits? You may start to use the slang they use, startmoving like they do, and eventually you pick up on some of their values. This is especially true if they are very opinionated. So, why do you think you do that? Well, it's basically because you see that other person as "cool" or "popular" or whatever word you want to use and you want to emulate that. Haven't you noticed though, like when you were in high school, that the truly popular people didn't really follow anyone else? These people had their own unique personality and became the trend setters. Isn't this true in our adult lives as well?

So what does all of this have to do with network marketing?

Network marketing is all about building healthy relationships, just like in all the other aspects of your life. When you were five years old, did you play punch your new buddy in the shoulder on the first day? If you did and you're still friends, I'll bet that's a very interesting friendship! Most likely though you didn't because you hadn't built that bond yet. When you met your significant other, did you start making out right away (keeping it clean, folks!)? Did you move in together the first day? Did you propose right away? If you said yes to any of these questions and are still with that person today, then you are an extreme rarity. Most people would say no for their current relationship. It just doesn't make sense, right?

So, here's the kicker you've been waiting for on how all of this ties together:

Building professional relationships in network marketing is exactly the same as building relationships in other aspects of your life. If you are going out there blasting your product or service to people with no warm up, that's the same as going up to someone you're attracted to and asking them to move in with you in the first sentence! It would be the same as punching that kid down the street when you first met. That would probably have gotten you in a fight or tattled on!

Who are you emulating? Are you emulating the truly successful people? Are you starting to pick up on their habits and methods yet? If the answer is no, then WHY NOT??? Click the link to learn more.
