The Palm Springs Walk of Stars

When I arrived in the beautiful downtown area of Palm Springs within the sunny Coachella Valley, my eyes were fast to notice the ingrained stars that dotted the sidewalk location, stretching from the north side to the south side of famed Palm Canyon Drive, Museum Way and Tahquitz Canyon Way within the heart from the downtown.
 
Generally known as the Palm Springs Walk of Stars, these marble inlaid stars memorialize more than 300 celebrities that have lived and played within this desert paradise which has turn out to be referred to as the” Playground with the Stars.”
 
Each year several celebrities is added by a selection committee which continues to enlarge the website to ensure that right now it moves, curves, and bends its way by various clothing shops, restaurants, museums, theatres, and resort hotels that cover the downtown Palm Springs location.
 
The Walk of Stars is dedicated for the many Hollywood stars who lived, loved, played and gave back to the gorgeous desert oasis which is filled with palm trees, sunshine and abundant golf courses. Although strolling down Palm Canyon Drive on a beautiful desert day, I was able to determine such stars names set in t concrete as singer Al Jolson, actress Ginger Rogers and comedian Bob Hope who to this day has a quite well-liked golf tournament that takes place every year in the desert.
 
Early on film pioneer and desert resident Mary Pickford was added for the sidewalk in addition to such stars as Liberace, Sophia Loren and Elizabeth Taylor. Of course one of Palm Springs most well-known residents, Old Blue eyes himself Frank Sinatra is immortalized. In later years, Alan Ladd and also the gorgeous Marilyn Monroe became component from the sidewalk that thousands of people cross over each day with the names that appear up at you as you take pleasure in the lovely village that’s Palm Springs.
 
In current years James Earl Jones, Mickey Rooney former Palm Springs mayor, Sonny Bono, and Dinah Shore have been added for the luminaries that line the street. There were other names that I did not recognize initially, but once I became familiar with them and their performs, was in a position to determine they had been a celebrity in their own field and just as noteworthy to become a part of the walk in Palm Springs. Some of the stars I knew, some by name and some by overall performance and deed. But what stood out as I walked about and spotted every single sparkling, glossy star was the connection among this desert oasis and Hollywood.
