I like this Weslo Cadence R 5.2 Treadmill, but it really would suit someone that is shopping for a sturdy, simple treadmill that has no frills, yes that means it more for the budget savvy.
Its a really easy treadmill to assemble straight out of the box, it should only take you about 30 minutes to put together for most people. Another great feature is the space saver design, meaning that after you’ve busted a hard work out, you can just fold up the treadmill, and store it away.
It has a 2.25 horsepower impulse motor, which can take speeds up to 10 MPH. Has a standard 16? x 50? workout area, with a 250 pound capacity. I honestly found it a little small, keep in mind I am 5ft 9? and 235 pounds. Seriously if you are taller then me, (or heavier), try to find a bigger model. Although in saying that I did find the training area is well designed, to absorb impact, so it really helps with knee joints.
You can set the speed with a touch of a button, which is able to be set between 0-10 MPH using the quickspeed control on the console. It also includes six workout apps, with challenges available for both weight and intensity. But the incline only allows for two different inclines, which I found a bit limiting.
The console is LCD with Blue-backlit, which I didn’t think was bad for a low-end model. Which give you feedback, to track your distance, speed, time and calories burned, as well as pulse rate. It could also be me, but I did find it a little louder then other price comparable treadmills.
The warranty is pretty average as well, only allowing for 90 days.
Summary
This would really suit you if you are a little smaller or medium sided in height, with a tight budget. The Weslo Cadence R 5.2 Treadmill is a study well made treadmill, for the price. This model packs in a lot of power, with the motor.
It is a decent well price basic model, that isn’t crammed with a lot of extras, it not a highly adjustable treadmill either. But it will get you there in the end.
